Liability waiver
Please read this before agreeing on your application. If you have questions, reach out to Steph before submitting.
This waiver is between the caregiver (“you”) and Sea to Sky Nannies (“the agency”). By signing below, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the following.
1. Accuracy of information
You confirm that the information in your application — including your experience, certifications, references, and background — is true and complete to the best of your knowledge. You agree to promptly update the agency if anything changes.
2. Independent judgment & care
You agree to provide childcare with reasonable skill, attention, and care, to follow each family's reasonable instructions, and to act in the best interests and safety of the children at all times.
3. Certifications & checks
You agree to maintain current certifications (such as CPR and first aid) where you have represented that you hold them, and to complete any criminal record or reference checks the agency requires before being placed with a family.
4. Assumption of risk & release
You understand that childcare involves inherent risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Sea to Sky Nannies from liability for claims arising out of your own conduct or negligence while providing care, and you agree that the agency acts only to introduce you to families — not as your employer for every placement.
5. Confidentiality
You agree to keep families' personal information private and to use it only for the purpose of providing care.
